Santiago Walk
Your Camino de Santiago companion
« Ultreia et Suseia » — Forth and further
Built for pilgrims, not for tourists
Most travel apps assume signal, battery and a tour guide. The Camino doesn't. Santiago Walk is designed for the real conditions a walker faces between Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and Santiago de Compostela.
No signal? No problem.
The full route, all 2,000+ points of interest and the 56 curated accommodations cache to your phone on first launch. The Meseta and the Pyrenees stay covered.
Owned by you, not by a brand.
You can use the entire app without an account. If you create one, Row-Level Security on the server guarantees nobody but you reads your diary, stages or photos.
One walker, many devices.
Lose your phone in León? Buy another, log in, your diary and stamps come back. The cloud sync is end-to-end on your account.

Frequently asked
Is Santiago Walk free?
Yes. The app is free to download and use. You can complete the entire Camino without paying a cent. A Premium tier with no ads and extra features is planned, but the core functionality stays free forever.
Do I need an internet connection?
Only on first launch, to download the route and POIs. After that, the map, stages, accommodations and your diary work fully offline. Internet is optional for the community feed and cloud backup.
Which Caminos are supported?
Currently the Camino Francés, from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago de Compostela. The Portugués, del Norte and Vía de la Plata are on the roadmap.
Does it replace the official pilgrim credential?
No. The digital stamps inside the app are for your personal tracking and the in-app PDF. The official Compostela certificate is only issued by the Pilgrim's Office in Santiago, and it requires the physical credential with stamps from albergues and parishes.
What data do you collect?
Only what's strictly needed: email for authentication, the data you write in your diary and community posts, and your location only while the map is open (never stored or shared). Full details in our Privacy Policy.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from the Profile screen, in one tap. Everything—diary, posts, photos, stages, profile—is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Is there an iOS version?
Not yet. The app is built in Flutter, which means the iOS version is technically feasible, but the developer is focused on Android first. iOS is on the roadmap once Android is stable in production.
Who built this?
A solo developer based in Spain, as a 2nd-year DAM final project that grew into something he actually wants pilgrims to use. The Camino itself is the inspiration: a millennium-old route that hasn't aged a day.
